Sunday Tales

I love reading the Sunday star. That's because it's that one day of the week where the newspaper covers everything from health to fashion the biggest gossip in Hollywood. But mostly because there are real live stories. Ever since I was young I loved reading "Dear Thelma". It's like real live Desperate Housewives tales as well as stories of real life sad, depressed people Then there's the section of real stories from real people with life lessons. That always makes me tear a little. I hope to send a story one day that is when I have the courage to.

Well this week I read about the new Jimmy Choos collection. The shoes were plainly orgasmic!! Oh there was a perk as well. Apparently if you spend RM 28,000 and above you get this exclusive photo shoot from this famous photographer with your favorite pair of Jimmy Choos. Also you get a MAC makeover and a BMW picks you up to your location. And all you have to do is spend 28,000. Hmmph need I say more. I rather freaking higher my own car, make up artist, photographer and just buy one pair of shoes and it will definitely cost me a lot less. I think I can freaking get me a few hundred pair of clothes, bags, shoes and accessories for that kinda of money!

Then there was another section where you right in your basic problems unlike the emotional and relationship problems you write to "Dear Thelma". This mum of a six year old wrote in saying she threw her 6 year old daughter a birthday party and got cheap ass gifts. Well she didn't use the word ass but yeah you get the point. She was upset she got handmade gifts made from suppliers supplied by her at her home. She even added that her daughter who mind you is 6 complained that it was crappy gifts. What the heck is wrong with this women!! Isn't a gift suppose to be the thought that counts. She is practically teaching her daughter not to appreciate cheap gifts whatever that is in her dictionary and to throw a temper about it.I really do pity this 6 year old's future boyfriend really. I really can't blame her though. The credit definitely goes to her wonderful materialistic mum.

So that's the highlight of this Sunday's newspaper. I have always loved it for how real everything seems like embarrassing stories to true heart wrenching tales. And I always will.

Now to start a saving's account for my first pair of Jimmy Choos.
